Accessibility

In accordance with the European Accessibility Act and EU Directive (EU) 2016/2102, DIHK | German Chamber of Industry and Commerce is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users. We are actively working to improve the accessibility and usability of our domain www.safri.de and are guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (ETSI).

Compliance status (as of August 19, 2025)

Our website largely complies with the applicable standards.

✅ Alt texts are available for all essential images and graphics.

✅ Keyboard navigation is supported throughout.

✅ The heading structure is correct and semantically hierarchical.

✅ Color contrasts are strongly applied in the design, so that readability largely complies with WCAG requirements.

✅ The contact form is equipped with labels and is accessible.

The “MAX Access” accessibility tool is also available at the bottom right of the website (indicated by a blue circle with a white person). This allows contrasts, font sizes, and reading modes to be customized.

Non-accessible content

Despite comprehensive measures, there are currently still some areas that do not fully comply with WCAG 2.1 (Level AA):

• External content: Embedded content from third-party providers (e.g., maps, social media plugins) may contain barriers over whose design we have no direct influence.
• Individual cases with graphic elements: In the case of isolated icons or decorative elements, the contrast values or alt texts may not yet be fully WCAG-compliant

We are continuously working to identify existing barriers and optimize our website in accordance with WCAG-compliant standards in order to continuously improve digital accessibility.
